New Graduate

According to a recent survey by the Employment Outlook for the third year now, there is an increase in costs for hiring college graduates in 2006. Business owners plan on hiring over the class of 2005-06 than in 2004-05 class as well as offering higher compensation and benefits for new employees.

In the annual survey of the National Association of Colleges and Employers, nine out of ten companies describe the new job market as good, very good and excellent. Public accounting and consulting firms told the brightest prospect for future graduates, while engineering and construction support for the idea, saying they will be hiring.

There is a growing demand for new graduates in the labor market also because of the growing products and services they offer and to follow the retirement of HR staff.

Mechanical engineering graduates topped the list and consider them the aerospace, automotive, manufacturers of mechanical equipment. They plan on hiring PhDs graduates in science and computer courses.

Banking, transportation, financial and insurance services are seeking Economics / Finance graduates. Food processing and beverage companies, supermarkets, and financial services need more Business Administration / Management graduates. A third of business owners plan on hiring associate graduates categorized into three categories: technology, engineering and business related degrees. Insurance and engineering / surveying companies appear the most in need of 2 years for graduates, they wear a kind of knowledge production techniques that do not require more training. They belong to the hands on the work force has developed a good work ethic which is observed by employers, sadly missing in previous amateur graduates.

During the survey, only 23.5% (mainly manufacturers) have planned the recruitment of international graduates in 2006.
